Sandra Hickey is an Irish artist, based in Cork. Her work specialises in contemporary  figurative abstracts as well as portrait and landscape paintings. She predominantly works in oil paints on canvas.

'I find people to be a very interesting subject matter to paint, whether it is a portrait or the abstract figure, it has always been intriguing for me to capture it through my paintings.

 

And since my experience working on the Oscar nominated animation Loving Vincent I have be finding new subject of interest. Capturing the changing light of a landscape in the style Van Gogh'.
